Where to Eat During NYC Restaurant Week

nyc-restaurant-week

The list of restaurants participating in NYC Restaurant Week 2019 is up, and a slew of Midtown’s best spots are on it. From July 22 until August 16, enjoy a 3-course lunch and dinner for $26 and $42, respectively. Here’s a selection of our favorite Midtown restaurants on the list this year.

Lexington Brass

American brasserie

You don’t have to leave Hotel 48LEX for an authentic New York experience during Restaurant Week. Make the most of exclusive, limited-time-only pricing on dishes such as our organic Pennsylvania Dutch crispy chicken salad, vegetarian mushroom pasta, and signature Brass health bowl. With plenty of gluten-free, dairy-free, and vegan options to boot, there’s a dish for everyone at Lexington Brass.

Casa Lever

Italian

Step straight from the streets of Manhattan into Milan at Casa Lever. With northern Italian fare on the menu, this Italian restaurant offers walls adorned with modernist pop art and plates topped with Italian classics. If you’re searching for la dolce vita in New York, you’ll find it (as well as curated wines and creative cocktails) at Casa Lever.

Socarrat Paella Bar

Spanish

Nothing says summer like the perfect paella and a cool pitcher of fresh sangria. The name socarrat refers to the crust that forms on the bottom of the paella pan — which the Spanish say is the best part of the dish. And don’t sleep on the rest of the menu, which features a wide array of authentic tapas from various regions of Spain, perfect for sharing with friends.

Tao Uptown

Asian

A 16-foot Buddha statue presides over Japanese carp swimming in a reflecting pool at Tao, where you’ll find the best Chinese, Japanese, and Thai dishes in Midtown. If you can, sit in the prized Skybox, which offers views over the expansive 300-seat restaurant with a sushi bar, lounge, and two bars.

Smith & Wollensky

Steakhouse

Open in its current location since the 1970s, Smith & Wollensky is a New York landmark that serves USDA Prime steaks, dry-aged right at the restaurant. If you’re looking for “a steakhouse to end all arguments,” Smith & Wollensky is the quintessential New York spot — whether it’s a business lunch in Wollensky’s Grill or dinner in the main dining room.
